Descendant of William Wallace?
[edit]Isn't he a descendant of William Wallace, and that's what inspired him to write his book?

Only wanting geneology history! I am a descendant of an Easter L. Wallace who claims to be a descendant of William Wallace. Her history suggests that a brother of William came to America. If anyone has any knowledge of this I would be thrilled to hear from you and know your information. This Easter Wallace was married to John Burns who was born in TN? and died in Mississippi. Easter was born in Georgia and died in Mississippi. They had atleast one son named William and these ancestors ended up in Texas. I have found Easter on the census but have nothing that shows her parents etc. Thank you if you can help me!!! dlray, **** —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.128.138.12 (talk) 06:09, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, but this is unmitigated piffle. He shares a surname, end of. Even if he threw every penny of his millions at genealogical research, there is simply not sufficient recorded data to identify anyone as William Wallace's descendants. Why should there be anyway; we're dealing with the twelfth century here! As for the article, it claims he learned the 'true legend' of William Wallace. What's a true legend? Is it the opposite of a false myth? --Stevouk (talk) 15:45, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
Um, if a brother of William Wallace came to America, surely that would pre-date Columbus but several hundred years!
