Hello, I will review this article. Should have comments up within a couple of days. Sasata (talk) 19:30, 27 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Great! Thank you. I look forward to your comments. --Animalparty! (talk) 01:13, 28 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ok I read through the article, but don't really have a lot to say: it's interesting, well-written and researched and already meets GA criteria in my opinion. I've made a few copyedits, and have a small list of minor quibbles:

  • Lead: suggest linking dean, taxonomist
  • Biography: possibly useful links: B.S. degree, doctorate, dissertation, monograph, genera, histology, embryology, regent, garnishment
    • I've linked some, but in general I am leery of over-linking and/or using wikilinks solely as dictionary definitions. I find too many links (blue or red) distracting rather than informative, and try to focus on major or highly pertinent links most likely to increase specific understanding of the subject at hand (e.g. many scientists have a Doctor of Philosophy, but much fewer have worked in the Museum of Comparative Zoology). Subjective, of course, but I think readers did ok for millenia without hyperlinks!
  • what number child was he?
    • I haven't found a reliable source that mentions this.
  • George Leib Harrison Foundation - redlink worthy?
    • Dubious notability: the Foundation appears to have been (is?) a trust administering local scholarships to U of Pennsylvania grad students. The eponymous Harrison appears to have been a Philadelphia philanthropist, and possibly borderline notable, and a redirect to his as-yet-nonexistent-article is most likely. I think a footnote/reference for non-intrusive, self-contained definition (as I did for Goldwin Smith Fellowship), would be best.
  • ”Here his publications included, among others: … ; from South America by Stanford and Yale expeditions; and by various expeditions of the USS Albatross.” grammar needs fixing here
    • Will work on this shortly.
  • redlink B. Roland Lewis? (see here for notability)
    • I'm not opposed to redlinking, although for the purposes of this article I think all needed context (English professor) is present.
  • what is/are the source(s) for Eponymous taxa?
    • Unfortunately no single source exists. I've added some and am in the process of obtaining/verifying others.
  • it’s not necessary to add “via JSTOR” to references that are already clearly marked with a JSTOR identifier
    • Not necessary, but I'm giving a courtesy nod to the providers of my free account, per Wikipedia:JSTOR.
  • be consistent with use of “circa” or “c.” in figure captions
    • Done.
  • if you’re thinking about FAC, you’ll want to make sure the use of sentence case/title case for journal article titles is consistent, and perhaps convert ISBNs to isbn-13
  • page numbers for Chamberlin, R. V.; Roscoe, Ernest J. (1948)?
    • Done
  • accessdate for Peterson, Kathi Oram (Fall 2001)?
    • Done.

I'll be back later after some spotchecks for source-text fidelity, and image checks. Sasata (talk) 17:37, 30 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, all pictures appear to be appropriately licensed, and I've verified some of the citations and am satisfied that the WP:WIAGA criteria are met. Promoting now. Sasata (talk) 06:17, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
