Issues
[edit]Hello Sosthenes12,
I have been working on addressing the issues you left on this page.
- This article uses bare URLs for citations. (March 2013)
- The topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline. (March 2013)
- This biographical article is written like a résumé. (March 2013)
1. I have used the reflinks tool from the Bare URLs page to cite my sources correctly. I believe all reference links now display the information properly.
2. In regards to notability, I have also been working on establishing sources to address this issue.
3. I have read several other pages on professors from UCLA and have seen similiar format/structure as I am using here. From what I have seen none of those page have the "written like a resume" issue. Can you please on expand on this.
I look forward to your response and additional help on correcting these issues.
Thanks, --Ucsglarc (talk) 17:46, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
Hi Ucsglarc,
I have noticed and reviewed your changes:
1. Your references look good, so I have removed the bare URL tag.
2. I think you've just about established notability and I believe you know where to find the notability requirements (Wikipedia:Notability under Academics). Feel free to remove the label once you feel you have satisfied those requirements.
3. As for the resume tag, my impression in reading your page was that you were advertising the subject with the long list of publications. It did not seem so much as a biography to me as it did a long resume. The other pages on professors I have seen are simpler and list out only the most important of publications. I would suggest removing some of the less important publications. I have already removed the tag, however, in good faith that your intention was not to advertise.
Good luck,
