NOVEL REVIEW: Nishabdathayile Theerthadakan (Pilgrim of Silence) By Koyamparambath Satchidanandan, Poet Laureate
"Any attempt to restore the role of imagination in the novel and create a literary idiom is praiseworthy at a time when the element of imagination is on the wane in the genre and novels are getting more and more journalistic and closer to newspaper features crammed with superfluous details. It is in this context that Raj Nair's 'Pilgrim of Silence' (Silent Pilgrim?) that beautifully mixes reality and imagination claims our attention. Even while being structurally experimental, the novel retains its readability"
