Indian nationality
[edit]I created a section for this topic because it originally didn't have one. 189.175.178.189 (talk) 01:19, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
I edited his nationality to just "Indian", as I have seen no indication of him holding American nationality. (originally unsigned comment)
- Maybe the "American" nationality was just left over from pasting and editing a previous template, so it's no big deal. 201.127.204.84 (talk) 18:12, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Ability to talk to women
[edit]I'm changing the comment about the Griffin Equivalency due to the fact that Koothrappali had been shown to have been drinking prior to speaking to Penny throughout the episode, the first being grasshoppers at the Cheesecake Factory, the second being the champagne that he was guzzling outside of Penny's apartment. In fact, the arrogance that he exhibited in the episode could also be attributed to having been drinking as he often gets shown to be something of an ass when he's been drinking. - It's been long since this topic was made. I assume it doesn't describe the current state of the article.---189.235.132.234 (talk) 18:40, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Age
[edit]Rajesh's stated his age as 26 in "The Grasshopper Experiment". I am pretty sure the passage of time should have increased that number, but I did change it back to that number after it was vandalized with the number 32. This vandalism was due to the fact that the Character states that he spends his idle time "Messing up wikipedia entries." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.230.187.166 (talk) 07:52, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Restructuring the article: new sections
[edit]The articles of the main characters, Leonard Hofstadter, Sheldon Cooper, Penny (The Big Bang Theory), Howard Wolowitz, and Rajesh Koothrappali, are growing in size but without a proper structure. I propose creating standard sections in which to put information: Personality, Family, Work, and Relationships. I believe the show centers mostly around these topics, so the information would fit nicely. I'm not saying these are the only sections that will ever be used, but they are a good start; perhaps they will need to be modified in the future. Also, let's keep the content complete but encyclopedic; there is no need for an indiscriminate collection of information. 189.175.178.189 (talk) 01:19, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
Referencing episodes
[edit]I suggest using this format to reference the episodes
<ref name="S01E01">{{Cite episode |title=Pilot |episodelink=List of The Big Bang Theory episodes#ep1 |series=The Big Bang Theory |serieslink=The Big Bang Theory |airdate=September 24, 2007 |season=1 |number=1}}</ref>
as suggested in Template:Cite episode.
The "episodelink" field includes the link to the appropriate episode in this way List of The Big Bang Theory episodes#ep1. The number in "#ep1" refers to the continuous episode number in the series, not within a season. For example, The Griffin Equivalence is episode 4 of season 2, but it is referenced as List of The Big Bang Theory episodes#ep21.
The citation in the actual article may very well be in "horizontal" format.
<ref name="S01E01">{{Cite episode|title=Pilot|episodelink=... etc.
This has already been implemented in List of characters in The Big Bang Theory. 189.175.178.189 (talk) 01:19, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
Dr. and Mrs. Koothrappali names, what is V.M.?
[edit]The article lists Rajesh Kootrappali's parents as "Dr. V.M. Koothrappali" (father) and "Mrs. Koothrappali" (mother). My inquiry is what's with the "V.M."? Are they initials? Why does the father have it and the mother does not?
I just saw the episode in which they are introduced, The Grasshopper Experiment, and Raj presents his parents as "Doctor and Mrs. V.M. Koothrappali". After that, in subsequent episodes, they are mostly referred to simply as "Dr. and Mrs. Koothrappali".
If "V.M." is part of the fathers last name, then I assume they should both use it as "Dr. V.M. Koothrappali" and "Mrs. V.M. Koothrappali", although it is not exactly clear to me if this is right.
Can anybody from Indian ascent clarify this? Is there something odd about this? I'm going to change the articles to add V.M. to Mrs. Koothrappali's name, but feel free to change it back if you can explain this or have a reliable source. ---201.127.204.84 (talk) 18:13, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
- 'Doctor and Mrs V.M. Koothrappali" might indicate that V.M. is the male's initials, used to describe both of them? I've seen this done before, but it's late and I can't for the life of me remember where.... Flash man999 (talk) 17:36, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
- You are right. I cannot believe I was so confused about this before. To clarify things, consider this example: the husband is named
- "David A. Crane"
- the wife could be introduced as
- "Mrs. Crane", or "Mrs. David A. Crane", or "Mrs. D.A. Crane".
- See the article on Mrs.
- I will change it back to how it was.---201.127.206.217 (talk) 17:38, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

Hindi spelling
[edit]Hindi version of Raj's name seems to be wrong. As it stands (राजेश रामायण कोपालीटीआरए) it reads Rajesh Ramayan "Kopalithiare". Please, either explain or correct. Javirl (talk) 14:33, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
rajesh-bernadette
[edit]there is NO coverage of raj's infatuation , including attempts to kiss the bernadette character, in his relationship tag, It is a fact , why do you wish to remove it ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.184.146.215 (talk) 15:26, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Metrosexuality description insulting to women?
[edit]While it's true that Raj's behaivour leans towards metrosexuality, isn't it insulting to women to say that *cooking* is a female thing? To me, it definitely is insulting that somebody would suppose that cooking is a woman's job or responsibility! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.86.139.106 (talk) 17:00, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
