GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

  1. Is it well written?
    A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:

  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
  • Info box
  1. No issues
  • Lead info
  1. "Snoop Dogg and Usher on songs such as "How Much" and "Crybaby"" → Maybe mention "Crybaby" first as you mention Snoop first.
  • Background
  1. No issues
  • Writing and recording
  1. Both block quotes don't need quotation marks.
  • Music and lyrics
  1. Block quote don't need quotation marks.
  • Conflict with Sony
  1. Block quote don't need quotation marks.
  • Critical reception
  1. No issues.
  • Commercial performance
  1. "this time barred from the top by Faith Hill's Breathe." → Who was it barred by in the first week then? Someone different?
I'm actually not sure. For this reason, I switched it to "barred by" since its sourced and I'm not sure about the opening week.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 23:06, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Could you not work it out and use the reference provided here ? Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 23:14, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The sources on that page are all dead. Its not a big deal, the main part is the album's positions, but who blocked it from #1.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 03:22, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  2. "In its eight week" → "eighth", not"eight"
  3. "It became Carey's first studio album since Emotions (1991)" → Merry Christmas was 1992 and didn't reach #1.
  • Singles
  1. "Five singles were released from Rainbow; two were worldwide international releases and three were limited promotional releases. "Heartbreaker", the album's first worldwide release, became Carey's fourteenth chart topper in the United States. Aside from staying atop the US chart for two weeks, the song reached the chart's summit in Canada and New Zealand. Elsewhere, "Heartbreaker" achieved high charting, peaking within the top five in France and the United Kingdom, and within the top ten in Australia, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland. The song received mixed reviews from critics. Arion berger from Rolling Stone called the song Carey's "most insinuating: nasal, silken, declarative, riding the percolating beat."[17]" → Is all of this supported by just the one source?
  2. "The song[which?] was chosen" → This hasn't been addressed from whoever wrote it.
  • Promotion
  1. Shouldn't the tour parapgraph come after live promo appearances?
  • Track listing
  1. No issues.
  • Personnel
  1. No issues.
  • Charts and certifications
  1. No issues for any.
