Given the history of the relationship between (deep breath ) Sylvain, the other group members (Mick Karn, Richard Barbeiri, and Steve Jansen), Virgin Records, and the name "Japan", perhaps it should say "members of Japan", "ex-members of Japan", "members of the disbanded group Japan" or something similar.

The point being that it was, at first, emphatically NOT a "Japan reunion" in the eyes of the participants. Much of the "personality conflict" around the project centered around the record company's (perhaps correct but nevertheless offensive to Sylvain) insistence that the name "Japan" be used to help sell the album - perhaps combined with others in the band being less insistent on the artistic importance of this point and/or more desirous of the money and/or recognition coming from a successful album.

Being able to spell "Sylvian" would greatly enhance any opinions you might have on the matter. Just a thought. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.128.190.96 (talk) 19:43, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
