I see that someone tagged this page in November 2011 without bothering to post to the talk page. I'm accordingly doing so now to foster discussion. GodaiNoBaka (talk) 18:06, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

...relies largely or entirely upon a single source

[edit]

Would the original tagger (or anybody else) like to elaborate here on this? Unless you're looking for critical treatments of the story to cite (and I doubt you're going to find any, since this is one of Asimov's lesser short stories and probably not a lot has ever been written about it) I don't know what kind of sources you're looking for. ...relies on references to primary sources or sources affiliated with the subject, rather than references from independent authors and third-party publications

[edit]

See above. If someone can find a critical treatment of this story, it'll certainly not hurt the article to cite it, but I doubt such a thing exists. GodaiNoBaka (talk) 18:14, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The notability of this article's subject is in question.

[edit]

I completely agree. "Buy Jupiter" is filled with stories which Asimov himself admitted weren't always his best, and which he hesitated to allow to be republished. I question the notability of the compendium as a whole on that basis. To also have a separate page for each story (some only a couple of pages long) really requires some support on notability grounds. GodaiNoBaka (talk) 18:27, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Good point. Although there are some decent stories in "Buy Jupiter" this is actually one of the weaker stories in the collection, I doubt if you will find many third-party references about it. Even with as important a writer as Asimov, can we regard every single short story he wrote as inherently notable? The collection as a whole surely is. See John Wyndham, another important SF writer, we do not have an article for every short story but we do have for the collections. PatGallacher (talk) 18:05, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Better Summary

[edit]

Thk is piece is poorly written and needs to be redine. Did anyone actully read the story or just look up the summary? Link02 (talk) 15:44, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
