The LIRR pension fund almost certainly lost big in 2008. 66.92.134.109 (talk) 11:58, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
December 2008: Wholesale revisions and neutral point of view
[edit]First off, doing a wholesale cut-and-paste of a dry government web site does not an encyclopedic entry make. I have to agree that this article as it stands today sucks; it is a true stub-quality article. But to improve it, additions need to be meaningful and have footnotes/references. Just copying a website to here ain't going to cut it. If you disagree with me, please cite the Wiki guideline pages (right here in the talk area) that prove me wrong.
Second, there is no doubt that 30yearrailroadman(contribs|talk), is now the sock puppet of 69.123.97.189 (talk), an IP that is currently banned. I'm glad you figured out how to get around the ban. Now please read some wiki guidelines on how to write a good article. Highspeed (talk) 10:24, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Sure. It seems some poor fellow hopes by censoring Wikipedia to make unpleasant news go away. By the time he learns to do it efficiently, we can hope he will also understand the futility. Meanwhile it would be appropriate to dig up some relevant statistics comparing different retirement funds or railroads or years. Jim.henderson (talk) 04:28, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
