You are probably right. But simply one is the plural reference to the tribe, the other is singular. The singular is usually used if it refers to a person, eg. I am doing this from memory, but the Charles Elms attached image of Rahmah, in Elm's book, is of an Al Saud leader. In fact Elm's book is nothing but verbatim copying from other sources.
