Ragged schools where also established through out the Austalian colonies (and probably in other countries) in the 1850s.

This article starts out talking about 'ragged schools', but at the point where the model becomes well known, ends up talking specifically about one specific "ragged school orginisation", which makes it difficult to write about other organisations, such as the "Hornbrook Ragged School Association", which (before educational reform in the 1870s) was educating 1000 children in 12 schools. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.206.162.148 (talk) 07:24, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
