Untitled
[edit]As it stands, this page is confusing as it refers to a Spanish political party and also an unconnected body of post-Marxist thought emerging out of Italy.
The initial version of this article was a close translation of the Spanish article found at es:Democracia Radical. Dmcdevit·t 07:43, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
Radical Democracy
[edit]Radical Democracy is also a term used to define a democratic system of goverenment in which all citizens play and active part.jwdoherty
Disambiguation Needed
[edit]This term needs a disambiguation page or note. Another page should discuss the political philosophy of scholars Chantal Mouffe and Ernesto Laclau. They discuss what they call "radical democracy" in their widely-read 1985 book, "Hegemony and Socialist Strategy: Towards a Radical Democratic Politics," in which they describe a movement toward a "new left" informed by Marxist theories and involving many sociopolitical antagonisms.
I'll start work on that in the next couple months, and, as I am very new to both Wikipedia editing/participation (although I've been an avid reader for years) and especially to Mouffe and Laclau's theory, I hope someone will join me!

There ought not be TWO pages (Radical democracy & Radical Democracy) that are distinguished ONLY by capitalization--JimWae (talk) 08:10, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
