Racing flatsRacing flat – According to the MOS (WP:SINGULAR), article titles are generally singular. Other shoe articles are singular. I don't know this domain; do you ever refer to a single shoe as a "racing flat"? relisted--Mike Cline (talk) 16:14, 19 January 2012 (UTC)Jojalozzo 23:20, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that justifies overriding SINGULAR. We could make the same argument for Shoe ( and all of its sub-articles) or Glove. I don't see a reason for keeping the current title unless there is a good case for consistent plural usage. Jojalozzo 17:56, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - I goggled around and found plenty of examples of singular usage. Here's a few:
    • "The Competition marries the minimal upper and outsole of a track spike with the cushioning of a road-racing flat."[1]
    • "go with a road-racing flat or a cross-country shoe with a rubber waffle outsole"[2]
    • "The Green Silence is first and foremost a blazin’ fast performance racing flat."[3],
    • "The ASICS® Hyper™ XCS is a versatile track flat designed to provide comfort, support and traction on a variety of surfaces. "[4].
