Lead is too brief for this size of article. Done: Expanded
No need to link Canadians in the lead. Done
In other such sports bios, I'd expect her to be described as "a Canadian international hurler". Done: "Canadian international curler"
No idea what TSN is. Done: clarified
Is there a glossary of terms for curling or some appropriate link for "skip"? Not done: "Skip" is already wikilinked, does it need to be defined as well? Done (it was linked)
"at the Rideau Curling Club" where is this? Done
What does "bantam-aged" mean? Done
"bantam-aged, she won four straight provincial bantam championships" repetitive use of bantam. Done
"while no other curler had won even twice." where is this referenced? Done
"Her bantam rink qualified" what does this mean? Done: Does "Her team qualified" make more sense?
Second para, first three sentences start with "In..." Done
"finishing in 4th place" I don't think this needs to be said, but if you do, make it fourth. Done
Compare "Early women's" section, four very short paras with "Scotties champions and world bronze medalist" one large para with "Scotties repeat champions and world silver medalists (2013–14)" five very short paras... Done: split "Scotties champions and world bronze medalist" into 3 paras
"played third for " what does that mean? Done: link to third (curling)
"2012 Ontario" why is the year in italics? Done: removed italics (was supposed to clarify because the event was in 2011 but called "2012", but unnecessary)
"also consisted of " also included. Done
"teammate Alison Kreviazuk," so Brian wasn't a teammate? Done: clarified
"Also in April 2011, " That same month... (to avoid the "in April 2011" repetition.) Done
Link Sudbury. It's certainly not the the original. Done
"with the hammer, missed a draw to the button " more unexplained jargon. Done: added wikilinks
"rock" I thought they were "stones"? Done: Interchangeable, wikilink to hammer (earlier in the sentence) to explain
"she gave up three and lost" again, unless you know curling terminology/rules, this is almost meaningless. Done: Does "gave up three points" make more sense?
"in Kingston, Ontario by winning" comma after Ontario. Done
"2nd behind " second. Done
"won 9–6.[38] With the win" won/win repeat. Done: Changed to "victory"
"jamming a double takeout" not a clue. Done: added wikilinks
"Muirhead in the final.[42][43] Muirhead's rink " Muirhead repeat. Done: changed to "they"
"Trials.[45] At the Trials, " same. Done: changed to "there"
"a 90% shooting percentage" what does this mean? Done: Does "90% shooting percentage based on overall shot successes throughout the event" make more sense?
Val or Valerie Sweeting? And don't overlink. Done
"World #1" no using hash to mean number. Done: "World number one"
"burned a rock as it was coming to a rest, when a sweeper touched the rock with their broom" a lot of jargon. Done: Added wikilinks to burned and sweeper
Could add a couple of images as there's quite a wall of text in this article. Not done: The only free-use images I can find are very similar to the one in the infobox and from the same event. Should they still be added? They wouldn’t add much aside from breaking up the text, though.
Mark is overlinked. Done
"Team events" table, why not using a conventional wikitable? Done: switched to wikitable
In the table, what does bold mean? Note MOS:BOLD too. Not done: Bolding in the stats table indicates the major events that have totals at the bottom of the table. While I understand italics should be used in prose for emphasis, does this also apply to the stats table? It would look pretty strange. Done: removed bolding
Teams table, why is Homan in bold? Done: Removed bolding. Usually used in other curlers' team tables to emphasize their position in the lineup each year, but Homan has always been a skip so it's pretty obvious.
@The Rambling Man: I think we've now addressed these points, except for the images. The only other free-use images I can find are from the same event, so they wouldn't add much, but if you think they're needed to break up the text, I can add them. Let me know if there's anything else that should be done :) Allthegoldmedals (talk) 18:40, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Rachel. Thank you for representing Canada. We are all very proud of you. The most important part of all this is just being there so hold your head up high and smile and again, THANKS! Richard Elson of Lindsay Ontario 76.70.119.15 (talk) 00:00, 18 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
