Fair use rationale for Image:RVCA bnr.gif
[edit]Image:RVCA bnr.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:09, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Neutrality
[edit]What's the template to throw a non-neutral point of view on an article? This one needs it. --71.139.181.16 (talk) 06:10, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
I've made an attempt to clean up this article's bias. It was out of control and required a fair amount of retraction. -- 96.229.2.158
- This article still needs major cleanup if it is going to stay... which it probably shouldn't... I mean, 99% of the sponsored athletes it mentions try to link to their page, but they don't even have a page for themselves... Skiendog (talk) 08:22, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
Delete Page
[edit]This was certainly written by an RCVA publicist. I feel like this should probably just be taken down since it is such an endorsing page. I came to this page to figure out what the heck RVCA stood for.
- I second with deletion. It seems like a non-notable small clothing line that no one has ever heard of before. Skiendog (talk) 08:22, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
The Original RVCA
[edit]RVCA first stood for Rudy Valentino Combat Academy. It then turned into Rudy Valentino Clothing Apparel, a surfing brand. But due to the trade mark rights not being in place another company now know as today's rvca company moved in and took the name. Rudy Valentino being a very spiritual man did not think to patten his signature brand. This original RVCA brand which is worn by UFC lightweight champion and MMA superstar BJ Penn is now commonly know as RUCA although the logo still shows RVCA. The V and the A in the logo stand for a chalice (V) and a spear (A). The spear and the chalice are an example of a "yin and yang" of sorts, a balance of opposites.
Founder
[edit]Three references from reliable sources state that Conan Hayes was a co-founder of RVCA. One or more editors have been removing this information without any reliable source to the contrary. I am bring this topic to the talk page so they can discuss why this sourced content should not be included. 72Dino (talk) 03:59, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
Citations
[edit]Seems to be a huge lack of citations. Skiendog (talk) 08:23, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
