Can someone clarify the differences between rmon and Remote Monitor and Control Protocol (RMCP) it would be great to have a wikipedia article on that too Kendirangu (talk) 13:32, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is that the same as Remote Management and Control Protocol? I don't know much about it except that it is another UDP-based management protocol like SNMP (RMON uses SNMP). I think the difference is that RMCP is simpler / easier to implement in firmware, as compared to SNMP. But I could be wrong. Lukeritchie (talk) 22:16, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
