- This is a comment and not a review, but I would highly suggest proposing a different hook as the information being presented here may not interest non-Indian readers, since I don't think most of our global readers would know what the Central Reserve Police Force is. I'm not sure if people who aren't from India would find it significant that a lieutenant governor of a state was a former police director, and it's not uncommon throughout the world for politicians to have had previous careers in the military or police force. Perhaps you can try saying something here that might catch the attention even among readers who are from other countries? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 11:28, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- Narutolovehinata5, I recognise your concern but it's not very common that a retired director of a paramilitary force (happens to be the world's largest!) is appointed as an advisor to the head of state, which happens to be one of the world's most controversial and disputed territory with two nuclear-capable states making claim on it and have fought 3 wars over it. It's not some mundane regular bureaucratic appointment and some random territory of the world.--Deepak G Goswami (talk) 12:02, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not so sure about that, the context you gave isn't clear from the hook and may not be well-known outside of India. While the Kashmir conflict is quite well-known worldwide, the role of the Indian lieutenant governor (and indeed perhaps even governors themselves) probably isn't. - I think the point being made here is that we don't write to the main page simply because something is special, or doesn't happen often. It needs to be interesting/quirky to a general audience for it to be relevant. Without clicking the links, it is very difficult to know why someone in that position wouldn't have ties to a police force. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 13:04, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

- I totally forgot about this nomination, apologies for not responding in time. I am not quite familiar with the conventions that are followed here regarding the "interestigness" and try to do my best as much as I can. But as the learned members have stated that it's not interesting enough and I can't find anything more to nominate as a hook, I take back this nomination. Thank you guys for your input. - Marking for closure as withdrawn. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 16:40, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
