Historical atlas
[edit]- Hamlyn by R I Moore 1961(?); 1981 ISBN 0600303616 – both 176pp
- Newnes by R I Moore, based on Hamlyn 1981 1983; Edward Arnold, Students' 1983 – both 176pp
- Philip's by R I Moore, based on Hamlyn 1981 New 1992; Rev. 1995 – both 176pp
- Rand McNally, by R R Palmer Atlas of World History 1957(?); Rev.(?) 1965 – both 216pp
- by R I Moore, based on the Hamlyn(1981) Historical Atlas of the World (c) 1981 (every record with 1981 date specifies copyright, perhaps re Hamlyn components only); Atlas of World History 1983; Rev. 1987 w Contents list – all 192pp
- multiple subsequent printings or editions(?) to 1998
One incomplete interpretation: Hamlyn atlas publ 1981 (1961 a mistake), revised for UK market by Newnes 1983, Philip's 1992, Philip's 1995 but only moderately, retaining 176pp + notes arrangement, perhaps no change in maps or update of one/few later maps. Supplemented (pp 177–92 series of US-only maps) for US market by Rand McNally 1983, revised Rand McNally 1987.

- Regarding the R. R. Palmer atlases published by Rand McNally, the Library of Congress online catalog shows records of 216-page Atlas of World History dated 1957[1] and 1965[2]; records of 40-page Historical Atlas of the World dated 1961[3].
