This is a childhood favourite of mine, so I take pride in reviewing it! --K. Peake 08:37, 10 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Pipe Stargate to Stargate (record producers) under producers in the infobox
  • Move the release stuff to a separate sentence directly after the writing and production one
  • Remove wikilink on studio album
  • I'm not sure about Chase & Status and Stargate being linked before their production mentions in prose since that is different from separate infobox parameters, also pipe to Stargate (record producers) instead
  • For the sampling part, cut down to only mention the duo by name with no wikilink and remove the release year of the single plus other intro
  • Mention after the United Kingdom position that it was her second number-one on the UK Singles Chart with the wikilink
  • Split the other countries into a separate sentence, also change this to mentioning it reached the top 50 in ones among others since top 100 is not notable for the lead of a song that was number one in certain regions
  • Mention that the Bubbling Under Hot 100 is a Billboard chart
  • Add the name of the Denmark certification organization, also this needs to be mentioned in the body like anything in the lead
  • Remove "for "R.I.P."" because the term accompanying implies the music video was for the song
  • Remove the United Kingdom after East London since everyone knows where the city is
  • "depicts Ora and Tempah" → "depicts Ora and Tinie Tempah" because this is not his real name
  • "she performed the song at several occasions," → "she performed "R.I.P." on several occasions,"
  • "among other for the" → "including the award of"

Background and composition

[edit]
  • Same concern as before about linking to Chase & Status and Stargate before they are mentioned, also pipe to Stargate (record producers)
  • The source does not actually say that it was intended for Rihanna
  • "was not written for Rihanna." → "wasn't written for Rihanna." per the source's wording
  • Try to add some background info, like what led to Tinie Tempah, Chase & Status or any other collaborators working on this
  • "Several remixes, including by" → "Several remixes, which were done by" because these are the only ones sourced
  • "on 28 August." → "on 28 August 2012."
  • ""R.I.P." is a" → "Musically, "R.I.P." is a"

Reception

[edit]
  • "garnered mixed to positive reception" → "was met with mixed to positive reviews"
  • "between Ora and Tempah" → "between Ora and Tinie Tempah"
  • "Rihanna-collaborating British softies."" → "Rihanna-collaborating British softies"." per MOS:QUOTE
  • "wrote that "if she's" → "wrote, "If [Ora]'s"
  • "our own high tops." → "our own high tops."" to end the full sentence quoted
  • "stating that "it's still a" → "stating, "It's still a"
  • "decryed the song's lyrics" → "decried the song's lyrics"
  • "in the country." → "in the United Kingdom."
  • "and similarly received a platinum certification" → "and also received a platinum certification"
  • "also entered the chart in New Zealand and reached" → "also charted in New Zealand, reaching" and mention the chart by name specifically
  • "In the United States," → "In the US," per MOS:US
  • Pipe Billboard to Billboard (magazine)
  • "and number 3 on" → "and number three on" per MOS:NUM
  • I think the awards would be better wrote out in prose instead straight after the reviews since four is not really enough for a table

Promotion

[edit]
  • Retitle to Music video and promotion, as the first para is quite large
  • Img looks good!
  • Remove United Kingdom after East London because everyone knows where the city is
  • "The video begins with" → "It begins with"
  • "through a moderate-lighted surrounding," → "through a moderately-lit surrounding," to be less tedious with the following prose
  • "Tempah is standing next" → "Tinie Tempah is standing next"
  • "agains a dark grey setting." → "against a dark grey setting."
  • "beanie collection," further" → "beanie collection", further" per MOS:QUOTE
  • "and Tempah's appearance, writing that "not much goes on in the video" → "and Tinie Tempah's appearance in the video, writing that "not much goes on [...]"
  • "looking exceptionally hot,"" → "looking exceptionally hot","
  • "watch them be hot."" → "watch them be hot"."
  • Idolator should not be italicised
  • "cribbing song itself."" → "cribbing song itself"."
  • "for American rapper" → "for Canadian musician" per his correct identity
  • "on Late Show with David Letterman" → "on the Late Show with David Letterman"
  • Pipe acoustic to Acoustic music
  • Remove wikilink on MTV

[edit]
  • Copyvio score looks great at 25.4%!!!
  • Wikilink MTV on ref 13 instead of ref 51
  • Official Charts → Official Charts Company on refs 19 and 58
  • WP:OVERLINK of NME on ref 17
  • Pipe Capital to Capital (radio network) on ref 40 instead on ref 48

  • Cite Life and Times as work/website instead and pipe to Life + Times on ref 45 per MOS:LINK2SECT
  • Fix misspelling of year in ref 59's title
