[edit]In the section Trump Administration, it states:
- During his tenure with the State Department, Hammond was responsible for increasing the ill-will exhibited between President Donald Trump and Secretary Tillerson. It was Hammond who made public a private conversation during which Tillerson referred to the president as a "moron."
These passages violate WP:Biographies of living persons guidelines. The first claim is entirely unsourced. Neither the CNN article cited before or the Talking Points Memo piece cited after makes the claim that Hammond “was responsible for increasing the ill-will” between Trump and Tillerson. Since this claim is not verifiable (WP:Verifiability) based on the sources provided and likely a subjective viewpoint of the editor (violating WP:Neutral Point of View), it should be removed.
The second sentence is also inaccurate and not reflected in the source material. In the both the Talking Point Memo article that is cited as well as the NBC News article on which the TPM article is based, Hammond categorically denies that Tillerson called Trump a “moron.” According to both sources, the “private conversation” that Hammond made “public” was in reference to a meeting between Vice President Mike Pence and Tillerson regarding the UN Ambassador's role in the administration. This too should be removed.Penguinparty01 (talk) 18:20, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
