Family tree notable?
[edit]Is the subject's family tree really notable/encyclopedic? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.35.97.2 (talk) 17:21, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
- Not sure what you mean? See Category:Family trees for the many precedents. So yes, I thought so. Especially when so many ancestors are independently notable. In this case there already was a Crowninshield family article. The general rule for a person having their own article is that being related to notable people is not enough to make them notable. But if there are other reasons they deserve an article, then any information given in reliable sources about them can be included. Even if you do not like it. In fact, the old paper encyclopedias of the past often spent much more time on ancestry that current celebrity status. If you want to change wikipedia conventions for biographies, this can be discussed at, say, Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (biographies). W Nowicki (talk) 20:06, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
I believe this article qualifies for deletion as subject is not notable, article reads like a puff piece and appears to be largely edited by the subject i.e. Qbradlee and Qbradlee82. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.30.55.17 (talk) 01:49, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
Suggest removing autobiography warning
[edit]While earlier versions of this article might have been autobiographical, the current references, citations and valid secondary-source links appear to substantiate a neutral POV about the subject of the article. As such, I suggest removing the autobiography warning.2001:558:6008:3B:1D26:437E:145B:7EA3 (talk) 00:26, 13 October 2015 (UTC)
- With no stated opposition in the week since the Talk Page statement was made that suggested removing the article's autobiography warning (because it appears no longer applicable to the article), I have removed the warning. 2001:558:6008:3B:1D26:437E:145B:7EA3 (talk) 00:46, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
Add new references, citations and links
[edit]I have edited the article by adding several new page-layout improvements, and references, citations and links to provide more evidence of the subject's life, work and interests. These additions continue to show that, whatever autobiographical edits might have previously been included, the article is now based substantially on neutral, secondary sources. 2001:558:6008:3B:1D26:437E:145B:7EA3 (talk) 20:16, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
