Competes very well with Managed Service Providers. If you are to integrate this application with the other remote support tools, helpdesk, PSA's or screen connect to give remote support to small business utilizing quickbooks. The goals of the edits include:

Goal 1: Move the page: The company changed its brand name from "QuickBase, Inc." to "Quickbase, Inc.", so I want the page title to reflect the new brand name (Done).

Goal 2: The page has an advert tag: I'm looking to tear down the potential advertising language and list more competitors, as recommended by the last editor, to have the advert tag removed.

Goal 3: Add more content: I'm looking to bolster the page to include current information and updates and space the page out for a better view. I want the intro part to focus on the company's information and product--not its history as it is currently.

I'll appreciate your guidance and advice in completing and approving these edits.

Quickbase is a low-code/no-code[1] application development platform developed and marketed by Quickbase, Inc., a US IT company that designs and develops software.

Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, the company first started as oneBase in 1999, and it has evolved over the years to offer low-code/no-code development solutions to different organizations. Its platform is available to organizations as a SaaS database solution[2], which supports user-based and usage-based licensing options[3].

Quickbase serves more than 6,000 customers across multiple industries, with various use cases for different business processes and tasks.

Competitors include Appian, Oracle APEX, Kintone, ServiceNow Now Platform, Pega Platform, Microsoft PowerApps, Mendix, Zoho Creator, Salesforce Platform, Power Apps, and OutSystems.[6]

History

In 1999, Joe Rice, Jim Salem, and Claude von Roesgen developed oneBase, a web-based multi-tenant architecture-based database service to enable easy access, consolidation and sharing of business information.[7] That fall, Intuit added oneBase to its product portfolio, which included QuickBooks and TurboTax.[7]

In 2000, Intuit renamed oneBase to Quickbase, described at the time as a "web-based tool for sharing information that will revolutionize how small businesses and workgroups collaborate with employees, vendors and customers."[8]

In 2005, Quickbase was chosen as PC Magazine Editors' Choice.[9] The same year, Quickbase won the SIIA Codie Award for "Best Business Software Product or Service."[10]

In 2015, Intuit announced plans to divest itself from Demandforce, Quickbase and Quicken operations.[11] Quickbase received a 4/5 star review in CloudPro Magazine[12], won the SIIA CODiE Award for Best Real Estate/Construction Management Solution[13], and was a finalist for Best Cloud Platform as a Service.[14]

In 2016, Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe completed its acquisition of Intuit Quickbase.[15]

In January 2019, Vista Equity Partners purchased the majority equity in the company for more than $1B. Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe remains minority stakeholder.[16] In August, Quickbase bought Cloudpipes, which provides integration and automation tools for business applications through a cloud-based platform.[17]

In January 2020, Quickbase Inc. was included on Built in Boston's list of Best Midsize Places to Work in 2020.[18]

July 24, 2020, Quickbase, Inc was named 2020 Best Company for Professional Development by Comparably.

January 05, 2022, Quickbase, Inc acquired MCF Technology Solutions to improve its solutions for high-growth industries.

Services

Quickbase is a low-code platform[19] that allows non-technical developers to build, customize and connect secure cloud applications without compromising IT governance and control. The platform aims to empower citizen developers[20] to build "right for me" cloud applications with the visibility and accountability required by IT.

Features

Quickbase has different integrated capabilities, including low-code development, continuous deployment, integration & workflow orchestration, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) - Sandbox, IP filtering and SSO, audit reporting logs, roles and permissions and two-step authentication. The platform also has a feature called Pipelines for connecting disparate systems to support data integrations and connect other SaaS tools.
