[edit]

Quench is a provider of filtered water solutions for businesses and dealer partners across the United State and Canada. The company offers bottlefree water coolers, ice machines, sparkling water dispensers and coffee brewers that purify a user’s existing water supply. According to the site, Quench serves a broad mix of businesses, including more than half of the Fortune 500.

Headquartered in King of Prussia, PA, Quench has sales and service operations across North America to serve 60,000+ customers, and a network of over 250 independent dealers selling products under the brand names Pure Water Technology, Wellsys, and Blueline.[1]

Quench is a subsidiary of Culligan International, a global leader in delivering water solutions.

History

[edit]

Quench was formed in 1995 when multiple companies merged to create one private water cooler provider.[2] In 2014, Quench merged with Seven Seas Water to form AquaVenture Holdings, which subsequently became publicly traded on the NYSE (ticker symbol WAAS for water-as-a-service®) in October of 2016. Four years later in 2020, AquaVenture Holdings was acquired by Culligan International, which subsequently sold the Seven Seas Water business and retained ownership of Quench.[3]

Anthony Ibarguen is Quench’s current CEO. Ibarguen has worked as Quench’s CEO since October 2010.[4]

Products Description

[edit]

Quench distributes point-of-use or plumbed water coolers, ice machines, sparkling water dispensers and coffee brewers. Point-of-use water treatment provides water that’s treated at the place where it’s dispensed. Quench point-of-use machines get plumbed into a building's existing water line and use advanced filtration and sanitization technologies, such as carbon filtration, ultraviolet (UV) sanitization, and/or reverse osmosis (RO) filtration, to filter tap water on-site. Many Quench machines also feature antimicrobial surface protection to kill or neutralize microorganisms.[1]

Quench-branded products dispense quenchWATER+, a mineral-infused and electrolyte-enhanced water produced through a 5-step filtration process. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Quench has also increased its touchless product lineup, offering machines that dispense using motion sensors, foot pedals, and QR codes.[2]
