[edit]I attended Queen Mary's School from 1967 til 1972 and as far as I was concerned it was known locally as Queen Mary's Grammar School

Gilbert White studied as a boy under Dr Thomas Warton at Basingstoke -- (see his Wikipedia article). Wasn't that at Queen Mary's?
