Observations and suggestions for improvements
[edit]The following observations and suggestions for improvements were collected, following expert review of the article within the Science, Tecnology, Society and Wikipedia course at the Politecnico di Milano, in June 2021.
Some minor comments and suggestions:
1) In item 4. of the definition of a quantum dynamical semigroup: ""continuous operator in A"" --> ""continuous operator on A""
2) In items 4. and 5. of the definition of a quantum dynamical semigroup, some hyperlink to the definition of the σ-weak topology may be useful.
3) In the second paragraph of the definition of a quantum Markov semigroup: ""The Condition (1)"" --> ""Condition (1)""
4) In the section on the infinitesimal generator of a QDS, it would be better to define the domain D(L) as the set of elements a\in A such that the limit exists, and then write L(a) just below as the limit itself (without any reference to an extra element b). Indeed, it is somehow unpleasant that b appears both in the set D(L) and in the definition of L(a).
5) In the second bulleted item of the characterization of generators of uniformly continuous QMSs, T_t a should be T_t(a) (the parentheses are missing).
6) In the last paragraph of the characterization of generators of uniformly continuous QMSs, the phrase ""Moreover, above [ , ] denotes"" should be ""Moreover, the above symbol [ , ] denotes"".
