Needs rewriting
[edit]There seems to be some confusion as to what the subject is. It is not about the education or examination system. Define what the "literati" is (presumably "scholar-official" is meant here, or the broader idea of an educated elite), then go from there - what they do (their work, whether they be bureaucrats or not), their position and influence in society, their culture, what differences there may be compared to earlier dynasties, etc. Hzh (talk) 22:11, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
