the bronze medal would motivate him to perform better
— What bronze medal?- Clarified MWright96 (talk) 06:31, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- Changing "the bronze medal" to "the bronze medal in his event" doesn't help things. It would go without saying that any bronze medal he won was in his event; medals in events aren't awarded to people who don't compete in those events. And from looking at the source, the new wording is flat out incorrect. The source says that "Solaiman added that the bronze medal of Muataz Barshim will be an incentive for Bakhet to do his best in the race." The source is from after Barshim had won a bronze medal at the 2012 Games in the high jump (which to be clear, is not Bakhet's event). Thus, board-member Solaiman was saying that the fact that another Qatari athlete had won a bronze medal would serve as inspiration for a different athlete in a different event to also perform well. --Usernameunique (talk) 01:14, 3 May 2020 (UTC)

was drawn to compete in Qualifying Group A on 5 August. His best height cleared was 2.26 metres on his second try, tying him for eighth in Qualifying Group B.
— Which group was he in, Group A or Group B?- What's a count-back?

- What does "=8" mean? Tied for eighth?
