[edit]canatha is located in Jordan and its modern name is Um el Jmal. its considered to be near the Jordanian Syrian borders but its located north Jordan ....the information considring it part of syria is missleading
- Very wrong. Canatha is modern day Qanawat, and it is located in Syria, not Jordan.Orionist 04:51, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
Nabateans
[edit]Quote: "mentioned for the first time in the reign of Herod the Great (1st century BC), when Nabatean Arab forces defeated a Jewish army."
Is there a reference for this?
Update - ok I found the reference, it is Jewish War 1:19:2. This was at the time of the Battle of Actium - earlier than I expected. (talk) 11:48, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
