Subjective how?
[edit]I see that someone has placed a template saying this page "may contain wording that promotes the subject in a subjective manner without imparting real information." Could he/she please give a concrete example, since I do not see anything I've written here that I'd characterize that way. - Jmabel | Talk 01:28, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
- The template came from Dthomsen8 (talk · contribs). Given that I posted my question both here and on his/her talk page, and have gotten no response in 48 hours (during which this user has been active on Wikipedia), I am removing the template pending any substantiation. - Jmabel | Talk 04:43, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
Date Purple Mark moved to Seattle
[edit]I just had a personal conversation on facebook with Purple Mark (he's a friend of mine), and he said the year he moved to Seattle was incorrect in the Wikipedia article -- it said 1992, he says it was 1985. I explained to him that, by Wikipedia's rules, he could not edit his own article. So I fixed the year for him, but had to add a [citation needed] tag, because apparently none of the published sources out there have the correct year. Kevyn (talk) 20:00, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
I suspect the date of 1992 is an extrapolation from a 2007 Seattle PI article (https://www.seattlepi.com/local/article/Purple-Mark-makes-his-mark-on-Capitol-Hill-1239383.php) which suggests he'd recently moved to the area from before that year (still off by seven years). Any journalist willing to interview him and print the results?Volpane (talk) 19:15, 14 July 2018 (UTC)
