Commands
The newest purebasic has all commands needed, inclusive a visual dialog editor. Its very great. This must be an old review —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.61.92.59 (talk) 17:42, 3 September 2003
Side notes ...
As of this writing, Purebasic 3.94 is out for both linux and windows. However, they are not equal as the versioning leads you to believe. The linux version is missing the Sprite3D library which is critical for game creation. Plus the Keboard and network libraries have been incomplete for several versions and all platforms. (at least since 10/2003 to present (10/24/2005). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shannara (talk • contribs) 02:09, 8 September 2005
Facts are not slander
Mentioning that Visual Basic requires two separate source files (one for declarations, and one for the form itself) is not "slander" -- it's just the facts. Slander is something stated which isn't true, which is NOT the case here! —Preceding unsigned comment added by OTSER (talk • contribs) 10:41, 29 November 2005
- Clarification
And I agree, lets stick with facts and not slander. As a Visual Basic programmer since VB3, I know for a fact that you do not need a seperate file for declares and one for code. This is obvious when you do a simple hello world application in VB. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shannara (talk • contribs) 18:30, 10 December 2005
- Teach me
Well, please show me how to take the code in this Wikipedia example and run it from one VB source file, please - because VB5 refuses to let me do it. If correct, then I'll have no problem editing the Wikipedia article to reflect the method. Thanks! :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.7.166.166 (talk) 03:01, 17 December 2005

Fair use rationale for Image:Pure basic logo.gif
Image:Pure basic logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:04, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Selected milestones
The milestones section of this article should ONLY be used to mention major milestones for PureBasic; and NOT for every little beta release that occurs. Wikipedia articles should be concise and to-the-point, and littering the article with "Beta 1" released, "Beta 2" released, etc, is a waste of space and makes the article look like a cheap History.txt document for the language. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SJ2571 (talk • contribs) 21:32, 7 June 2007
Biased
The article doesn't bother to explicitly state that PureBASIC is commercial, rather using words like "proprietary" to confuse the reader. The article in general seems to be an advertisement for the language, rather than a third-party summary of the software. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.170.43.190 (talk) 00:48, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
- Many software titles listed in Wikipedia show "properietary" instead of "commercial", including some other BASICs. However, I have changed it to "commercial" for you, and also removed the milestones history to make it not look like an advertisement for you. Hope you're happy now. Next time, please make your comments with a real ID instead of anonymously, okay? Thanks. SJ2571 (talk) 04:35, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
- Proprietary does not imply commercial. It is possible to have proprietary freeware (e.g. Windows Live Messenger) and commercial software which is not proprietary ([1]). --Joshua Issac (talk) 19:56, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
