Anti-climax
[edit]The history of the company says it operated until 1977, with no elaboration. Then what happened? Did it do out of business at that time, or is that simply the last record of its being open? Was it sold, did it simply go bankrupt, did it merge with another company? And why did it go out of business? Overfishing? Devastating fire? Competition? These questions are all begged... --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 19:19, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree those questions are begged. I started the article believing that the company is wikipedia-notable because there are so many NRHP-listed buildings associated with it, and the article was developed further mostly by editor Cbl62. What is written is what can be supported by reliable sources. Like for many articles about individual historic buildings, we know it is notable and we know many facts to report, but we don't have a satisfying update / epilogue about what has happened since (since a building was listed on the NRHP, after a company did its notable works). That's just the way it is. I'm glad you're interested and commenting! --doncram 19:56, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
