[edit]Just a note to say that so far as I know, Pulkovo Observatory has never had the "world's biggest telescope" as this article claims.
Perhaps this should be Europe's biggest telescope (at the time)?

- It was/is Europe's biggest refracting telescope. The world's biggest 1.02-m refractor is installed on U.S. Yerkes Observatory — Chesnok (talk) 12:35, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
- Pulkovo's 30" was the world's largest refracting telescope in 1885, but a few years later the 36" was finished at Lick Observatory. The Yerkes 40" was built in 1895. DonPMitchell (talk) 07:01, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
