[edit]

There are 2 pages for the same aiport and they should be combined!!!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mar_de_Cort%C3%A9s_International_Airport http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puerto_Pe%C3%B1asco_International_Airport

There is different content on each page and we should consolidate to just 1 with all info!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.141.177.82 (talk) 23:29, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

But they are two separate locations. Unless one is closed and the name was moved to the other one then they have to be separate. Just looking at the Google map for each of them shows both fields with X's over the runways. That doesn't really help but they are 2 separate locations: Puerto Peñasco International https://www.google.com/maps/place/31°21'22.3%22N+113°31'32.4%22W/@31.3562066,-113.5278657,804m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d31.356202!4d-113.525677

Mar de Cortés International https://www.google.com/maps/place/31°21'05.8%22N+113°18'21.1%22W/@31.3516256,-113.3080527,804m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d31.351621!4d-113.305864

I'm not sure how to verify the current status of either field. — Preceding unsigned comment added by N8080 (talkcontribs) 03:38, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The old, smaller airport (31°21'22.3%22N+113°31'32.4%22W) was closed in 2009, when operations started at the new airport (31°21'05.8%22N+113°18'21.1%22W).[1]. The IATA code PPE also moved to the new airport. So I have merged both pages.
