Underpants

The quote about "He might as well have come in his underpants". Anyone know which PIF that comes from?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.153.10.113 (talk) 21:11, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

New article

Should we make a new article for memorable classic/recent PIFs? This one seems to be becoming increasingly long. Please remember also that PIFs are not advertisements/commercials, and that YouTube parodies of famous PIFs, although amusing, don't have very much to do with the article.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.143.171.252 (talk) 13:41, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Fur-You Deserve It

"Fur-You Deserve It" was not a real PIF. According to snl.jt.org, it was a sketch on Saturday Night Live. Which, I admit, is kind of strange. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.191.104.184 (talk) 15:09, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

"Hit me at 40, and there's an 80% chance I'll die"

Why isn't this on here? It's part of the Think! campaign. If I see it again I'll put everything on here. Lazyguythewerewolf 18:16, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

Please don't add any more!! This article is too long as it is and should either have all descriptions of films deleted, or be split. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.110.125.179 (talk) 20:43, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

YouTube

Hello, I'm the YouTube user "wuzzlevideos" - I have a huge load of DETR and Think! PIFs on my youtube channel, so feel free to link to them in the various Wiki PIF pages if you wish :)— Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.192.179.15 (talk) 22:37, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Famous public information films

The reason why that section is being replaced with a link to a category is in some years time, most of these will be forgotten, also all it is is a collection of random PIF that does nothing but clogs up the page. Donnie Park (talk) 18:51, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Please don't just redirect List of public information films again. The AfD closed as keep, but you unilaterally decide to do a selective merge. I don't think so. Fences&Windows 00:34, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
I am going to propose the move request as the contents are the same. Donnie Park (talk) 18:43, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, after you gutted the list while making no effort at sourcing. What's your obsession with getting rid of this article? You didn't get it deleted, so leave it so others who wish to can re-expand the list. Fences&Windows 20:08, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Think Bike !

Does the 'Think Once !Think Twice ! Think Bike !' (drivers to look out for motorcycles) series of adverts qualify ? 77.101.71.153 (talk) 13:38, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

Yes, it most certainly is. Also, the one where a ball bounces across a road, chased closely by a child (who gets splattered). That one has been burned into my brain for eternity. HairyWombat 06:51, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

Demise of UK road safety films

The "History" section of the article needs to discuss why funding was cut by the Department of Transport for road safety films. I have not added this to the article because it is all from memory. Funding was cut during Peter Bottomley's infamous reign as the Minister of Roads and Traffic (1986 to 1989). The stated reason was because the film makers could not cite any evidence that their films had an effect, even though they had never been given any funds to carry out such a study.
