Former Holidays

A section on former holidays could be added if it were thorough. The 1843 constitution lists the following public holidays in Haiti: Celle de l'Indépendence, Jan. 1; Celle d'agriculture, May 1; Celle d'Alexandre Pétion, Apr. 2; Celle de la régénération, Jan. 27. 1805 constitution lists: fêtes nationales pour célébrer l'Indépendence, la fête de l'Empereur & de son auguste épouse, celle de l'Agriculture & de la Constitution, without dates.
1806 constitution lists: "National celebrations celebrating Independence, the Constitution, Agriculture, and the Saint's Days of the President and his wife," without dates.
1816 constitution lists: Celle de l'Indépendence d'Haïti, Jan. 1; Celle d'agriculture, May 1; Celle de la naissance d'Alexandre Pétion, Président d'Haïti, Apr. 2. [order sic]
