Nonpartisan PPIC Study Finding that Realignment Increased Property Crime Should be Mentioned

[edit]

Dear Wiki's

The nonpartisan Public Policy Institute of California found that realignment has increased property crime in California. (http://www.ppic.org/content/pubs/rb/RB_1213MLRB.pdf)

This should be mentioned under the Consequences and/or Criticisms section of the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GSBAA (talkcontribs) 01:09, 27 April 2014 (UTC) 24.7.151.23 (talk) 16:56, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. So fix it! KDS4444Talk 08:44, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Flagged for neutral point of view

[edit]

This article seems to present opinions as facts. Most notably in the introductory paragraph: "it simply shifts the burden onto county jails; it does not solve the problem of overcrowding in the prison system." Muffinator (talk) 03:41, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I edited the cited sentence (I wasn't signed in). let me know how it looks now. I think there could be more done to balance the article, but it is pretty informative. Rakejooney (talk) 18:14, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rakejooney: I also read over this article, and it definitely warranted an NPOV tag. I have now re-written the entire intro to the piece, being careful to present its basic facts in a neutral tone— I think I have met this goal. Please have a look and consider removing the NPOV tag if you think so too (but not unless you do!!). Ping me with any thoughts or concerns. Thanks!KDS4444Talk 08:43, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

California, (the word) should be in the main article title, expand article

[edit]

The public safety realignment act is a California 2011 law to reduce prison overcrowding. This article is only about the California law so the name of the state should be in the title, What do you think?

I am trying to expand and improve the article. Toandanel49 (talk) 01:08, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
