Encyclopedic vs. promotional texts
[edit]Created and edited almost entirely by one-purpose accounts and IPs, the current version of the text resembles a promotional text much more than an encyclopedia article.
Most of the text consists of vague, positive statements about the organizations lofty goals and its importance. (Example: "a three-year demonstration project designed to more comprehensively address the needs of former prisoners" - this states what the project aims for instead of what it actually does, a typical characteristic of advertising language.) Basic, encyclopedic "hard facts" such as the size of the budget (and its sources), the number of employees and the concrete projects supported are almost entirely missing.

- I agree with HaeB and have placed the {{NPOV language|date=February 2010}} template on the page. My addition of an infobox is to improve the article, not to endorse the present wording, which definitely needs improvement. --DThomsen8 (talk) 16:20, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
Update: Much of the more promotional language from this page has been removed; hard facts (e.g., budget, sources, etc.) have been added. --LJ53182 (talk) 16:52, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
Title problem
[edit]The title of this article contains a forward slash "/" which means that there is an issue about where the talk page returns from the article tab at the top of the talk page. It seems from Wikipedia:Naming conventions and other help pages that this usage does not violate the naming conventions, but it does raise the issue of allowing it here. --DThomsen8 (talk) 16:27, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- I am wrong about what I say above, but there is "< Talk:Public" in red at the top left. --DThomsen8 (talk) 16:32, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
