More controversial controversies

[edit]

Whenever I hear this band mentioned, people aren't swooning about how he has a Nazi-esque tattoo or how they're 'often mistaken for Nazis' (industrial cliche number 1) - it's about how they acted like assholes during one party / gig and disrespected their fans in some way or another. Like repeatedly not turning up / playing when they're supposed to, or destroying kit that doesn't belong to them. The biggest controversy seems to be that they repeatedly act like assholes, especially the frontman.

I will add this with a couple of links if there's no given reason not to.

Feel free to add it, as long as you cite sources. See WP:CITE. --Eyrian 01:19, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

help kinda?

[edit]

im new to the whole wikipedia thing...but ive got a bit that i know, but i still dont know how to actually edit links or create pages, so im kind of asking someone else to do it...lazy me lol

anyway, i like psyclon nine, i got into them from the band Nocturne (easily one of the better bands out there) there is a link to "nocturne" on Psyclon Nines article page, but it leads to what a nocturne really is (the definition?) lol...i was wondering if anyone would help out adding info about them, and whatever... i know that you can dig up some easy info on them on thier website and myspace pages... thanks to anyone who would make this addition on my behalf ^_^; its really a shame that Nocturne isnt included on Wiki =P thanks all ^_^; Trynstopme 03:35, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The correct thing to do in this case is to first check WP:MUS, which lists the criteria a band has to meet to merit inclusion in Wikipedia. Doing some checking, it appears that they do (having released several albums on Invisible Records). The correct thing to do now is to create a new article, Nocturne (band) (you can do that by clicking the red link and entering text), and add a link to it on the page Nocturne (disambiguation). The best way to do this is to learn by doing. Review the links I left on your talk page; they should tell you how to do these things. Pay special attention to the manual of style; it's one of the things that a lot of new Wikipedians aren't aware of. --Eyrian 12:54, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

well...i tried...i made the page at Nocturne (band) like you suggested and everything...i really did try ^_^; hopefully i did it right? feel free to clean it up if you find i didnt stick to the style guide(...i never was one for writing...heh) Trynstopme 06:59, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The contributions look pretty solid. And, yes, it could use a little cleanup. For inspiration, I'd suggest looking at very popular band articles and then following a similar style. --Eyrian 16:04, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Breakup

[edit]

I talked to Nero last night at a concert with Mushroom head in Columbus Ohio and he told me after the next record they would be breaking up. Their guitarist does not seem to think so when I talked to him, but Nero was adamant that the next record (one in the works or frn thy frnictyr, he didnt specify and I'm not a fan) would be the end to the story found in the lyrics of their previous albums and that he saw no where to go with psyclon nine and said he was getting tired of the same thing over and over. So maybe there he's implied this in interviews somewhere, its something to look into finding out so you can update the page on it.

Nero also said he was working, but nothing definate, on a cover of Christian Death's "Romeo's Distress" where he'd be singing normally, not screaming. Just some trivia from my convo with him. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 4.89.132.199 (talk) 17:33, 6 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Backwards Lyrics?

[edit]

im feeling lazy cause i wrote this once and spam filter blocked me >.>
anyway, apparently, theres backwards lyrics in the title track of IRNI,
dont know if its cool to add em, but they're undeniably there, ive done it and the lyrics are very clear. apparently some kid or someone on the Psyclon Nine myspace forums wrote that he backmasked the song and that there were lyrics in it, he spoke with Ner0 about it, who said that the band had originally wanted to put backwards lyrics in the song but didnt have the time to do it, so it wasnt done, he gave the guy/kid a pendant as a good job token or whatever...
of course, Ner0 might be lying about not knowing, but either way, they ARE there, and its very hard to deny it (ive tried to backmask it myself, its very clear, you might have to speed up slow down the song for a few moments till you hear it right, but it IS there)
Ner0 also confirmed the encounter on his myspace blog,

Vandalism

[edit]

I've cleaned up the vandalism on the band members ection, is there any way the page could be protected or something? --Sekhmort (talk) 15:39, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

INRI

[edit]

Clicking INRI (album) at the bottom of the article directs to an album by a band that is NOT Psyclon Nine. Zeek Aran (talk) 18:49, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Black Metal

[edit]

Note that I haven't heard anything by Psyclon Nine, but I came across this article and saw the following:

"their more recent material has incorporated a disparate set of influences, notably black metal, creating a more accessible and inventive output"

Black metal isn't exactly known for its accessibility... 217.136.107.249 (talk) 12:04, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In comparison with Industrial? Zazaban (talk) 01:53, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, yeah. Industrial is much more "Radio friendly" than Black Metal.Zaruyache (talk) 21:59, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would say that Industrial is much less radio friendly than black metal. In fact, black metal is pretty mainstream these days. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.128.241.104 (talk) 22:40, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you mean actual industrial then you've never been wrong, but if you mean Industrial in the sense of offshoots such as Aggrotech then it's been quasi-mainstream in Western Europe and the US for 10 years now (aside from Satryoicon and Dimmu do you see any professional Black Metal bands?). But factual discrepancy aside, this is irrelevant, the fact is that Psyclon have become more accessible by adding some metal elements to their sound, as reflected in their sales and growig popularity. The statement isn't about whether Black Metal is accessible or not it's whether it's a statement about the band's sound and an accurate one at that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.225.28.152 (talk) 17:22, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Josef

Josef has left the band? Sources? --Sekhmort (talk) 01:47, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Discography and Members

[edit]

At one point in time there was a Discography section on this page. Is it not needed anymore with the album listing in the History section? Also, the individual album pages have been orphaned (there are no links to Divine Infekt, INRI, and Crwn Thy Fornicator).

Another issue is the Members section is duplicate information...The members are listed in the Infobox. TwoToad (talk) 17:56, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"elektro-dark"

[edit]

May I ask what this is? Jotsko (talk) 08:32, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Industrial (Black) Metal"=

[edit]

While the band are undeniably influenced by Black Metal they're still very much an Aggrotech band with guitars and Black Metal overtones rather than a full on Industrial Black Metal band (Guitars are still only a secondary element) at the moment, hence I've removed these genres from the list of genres the band is a part of (for now, they may well become full on Metal in future). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.225.28.152 (talk) 17:27, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I inserted the info on Bellum's new myspace blog entry, but I'm new to this and don't know how to insert the link properly.

Here's the link: http://www.myspace.com/neroxbellum/blog

If anyone knows how to insert it, please do. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Toadtheterrible (talkcontribs) 02:09, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hardstyle?

[edit]

"...a disparate set of musical and aesthetic influences, notably metal and hardstyle."

Really, I've heard just about enough of this band's material and I can't hear any influences from Hardstyle in it. Delete this please. Salamibears58 (talk) 01:53, 2 April 2012 (UTC)Salamibears58[reply]
