Article quality
[edit]The quality of this article is very poor, with quotes like "To start our journey of learning ...", and "It took lots of mutation and toxic waste, for Godzilla anyway", plus the fact that swathes of text were apparently lifted verbatim from the band's web site, lending to the un-encylopedic tone. Probably multiple violations of WP:V, WP:OR, WP:NOTE and WP:NPOV. I'm not sure what the best approach is here; I would like a more experienced editor to chime in. May be a candidate for AfD. MarkBrooks 03:40, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed, I'd somehow cite and not edit the history as it is taken from the site, but things like 'the merch guy' are not incorect, but they sound more like sommin to be put on the simpel english wikipedia, we have to make this stuff more fancy and educated sounding...and...stuff. --Mudel 17:21, 13 December 2006 (UTC) WIll work on it, eventually.
- I removed the biography which was copied from psychostick.com (in violation of copyright). MarkBrooks 04:04, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- You know before you do stuff like that, as well as delete their images (wich I uploaded), could you please note that they actually edit this site themsleves, they do manage a lot of their stuff like Myspace and two band-managed websites. I know this for a fact, I had a friend mail them and they said I was free to make it, wich basically give me permission to use their stuff, also some things are rather obvious things that only they could know. Now I know this doesn't effect anything I'm just saying the wikipedia trust and copyright system is dumb and paranoied. Why, you even delete images I; MYSLEF, A PROFESSIONAL ARTIST HAVE MADE, WITH NO COPYRIGHT WHAT SO EVER, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ISN'T ANYTHING GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU PEOPLE?!?!!?!? NOBODY IS GONAN SUE YOU FOR A FEW PICTURES! BTW I'm not loged in ATM, but I'm mudel, the guy who started this wikipage, or you don't believe me about that either? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.61.67.169 (talk) 15:38, 4 April 2007 (UTC).

What?
[edit]Exactly why has an editor expressed concern with the title? Psychostick furfill more than one criteria to have the right to their own wikipage, so when can we remove that tag? --Mudel 14:18, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- Immediately, if that is indeed the case. Which criteria from WP:Music#Criteria_for_musicians_and_ensembles do they fulfill? The most likely indication for a band being notable is having two or more albums released on a major label. I'm not sure from the article if they have one or two albums released (the same title is given for releases in 2003 and 2006), but their label does not qualify as "an independent label with a history of more than a few years ...", and is certainly not a major label. MarkBrooks 18:35, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- They're going on tour, how's that? Also I added the Allmusic link, it's a reliable source, and they have composed a number of melodies, tunes or standards used in a notable genre. And, they released one album. One was an INDEPENTED release (meaning: under no record label) the 2006 album was a re-release. That's when you put the same album out again, because people might buy more of it and you usally put some extra material on it. It can also be done under a diffrent label, as they did. --Mudel 19:08, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- I'm still not seeing how any of the criteria WP:Music#Criteria_for_musicians_and_ensembles are being met so I have readded the tag. Movingboxes (talk) 07:03, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Your Mother, Bitch!
[edit]Never heard of this demo. I've heard of the other 2 though.
Also does anybody know tony or the wolf's last name? If so please edit.
This is Alex, and I am actually the drummer of the band. There are a few needed updates on the page. First of all, "Your Mother Bitch" does not exist. Our first and only two demos are titled correctly, but "Don't Bitch..." was in fact recorded and released in 2000, not 2001. So of course, the band actually started in 2000. Also, I added the "Flesh Eating Rollar Skate..." album to the discography, as well as the tentative street date of September 25, 2007. I will add the artwork for the cd as soon as it is approved from Rock Ridge. And when I get home, I will also add the artwork for the 2 demos as well. Oh, and I never passed out at a show...I stopped wearing the cow suit because it got old, simple as that. I'll ask Chris and Tony if they want their last names on this page, but don't hold your breath.
General Comments
[edit]The article could use some professionalizing. And a sell out show in La Crosse, WI (at the Warehouse) doesn't seem to deserve too much mention. It's hardly a major venue (lived in La Crosse, been to shows there.)
As for Psychostick deserving a wiki article, why not. The radio station in Colorado Springs plays their Beer song every Friday. And they are actively touring. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.71.201.149 (talk) 06:08, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
metalcore
[edit]In what way is this metalcore? It certainly sounds like Nu Metal to me. Now, before a bunch of you metalcore fans that like this band get bent out of shape for telling you it's not metalcore, it's no. It's nu metal. I'm not using it as an insult, in fact I listen to Nu Metal, and abhor Metalcore. 69.254.11.138 (talk) 15:09, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
I would call it a combination of the two. It shows some of the speed of Metalcore but I would agree that some of the songs are Nu-Metal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonasbrotherareterrible (talk • contribs) 20:22, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
I disagree, I think it's more Hrdcore punk than anything. Screaming isn't really in their music, and they cite hatebreed, a HxC band, as an infulence. Nu metal also has a infulence on their music though, but I think HxC punk would be the best way to put it. 92.81.171.19 (talk) 13:34, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Trivia
[edit]Removed the trivia, if anyone can confirm, and for that matter give a reliable source, you can put it back in, Trivia section:
-The band sometimes calls themselves the 'Peanut Butter Squad'
-Rawrb is an active member of the Psychostick Forums
-Alex is blatantly awesome
-Josh has three testicles, which produce cat sized sperm
The 3rd should obviously shouldn't be re-added, due to being an opinion and the bottom one is unbelievable, not the three testicles part the cat sized sperm part. Chaos samurai (talk) 03:56, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Fan List?
[edit]I've moved the "Fan List" section here. Is there some special significance or are these just people who like the band? If the former then that needs to be fully explained if the latter then it doesn't belong in the article.
Fan List (Continue the list, it is not meant as an insult.) Shadow Porpoise Chizadness Madness Jake 'n Stuff Spazquatch AbyssalGhost (www.myspace.com/abyssalghost) coryklok from UG (I'm watching you guys ಠ_ಠ) Koshman32 from UG The most Serious
