I am so sorry for my delay on this - I have a horrible memory when it comes to these for some reason. I will do the review now. Generalissima (talk) (it/she) 18:07, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
  • Lede seems without issue and seems to accurately summarize the rest of the article.
    • Noted, thanks.
  • Context section is also well-done. Philology isn't linked in the quote per MOS:NOLINKQUOTE; that's a one I commonly see messed up, so good job there. This is obscenely obscure MOS-wise and not in the GAN criteria, but technically "< em > </ em >" tags should be used in lieu of double-apostrophe italics when italicization is used for emphasis per MOS:EMPHASIS.
    • EM tags it is.
  • Some of these section titles feel off to me. It kinda seems like they're referring back to one another ("An accidental trap" vs "A solution") which is advised against by MOS:NOBACKREF. Perhaps those two could be merged together as an "Implementation" section; it seems like the Hobbit mistake portion would naturally flow into the "Deciding on pseudotranslation" subsection.
    • Done.
  • The Tolkien quote that begins with "The Westron names" isn't cited at the end of the sentence.
    • Fixed.
  • Don't see any textual or citing mistakes in the rest of the page.
    • Noted.
  • A spotcheck of some sources I have access to hasn't revealed any copyvio, close paraphrasing, or inaccuracies.
    • Noted.
  • The page range for Brljak 2010 is however very large — could it be possible to specify which pages are being used more?
    • Done.
  • I don't think Kales 2010 is a useable source here. WP:SCHOLARSHIP says that Master's (and presumably Bachelor's) theses should only be used if they "can be shown to have had significant scholarly influence". I haven't been able to find a single source citing Kales's thesis while searching, which I think means it fails this criteria.
    • Replaced the source.
  • Images need alt-text. Appropriately licensed however.
    • Noted. Alt-text is outwith the GA criteria.
  • No neutrality or stability issues that I can see.
    • Noted.
