Pseudo? Monads?
[edit]It was good to see the etymology discussion in a related article, I forget now which one, but it still wasn't clear, so I was glad to see the link to this article.
Are monads one-celled organisms? Do they have a (flagellated or otherwise) foot?
Do pseudomonads, originally thought to have this foot, not have it? Or, do they look the same as monads, but without the foot?
I just want to know why they're called pseudomonads.
