Past tense
[edit]Twice now the "is" in the first sentence has been changed to "was". I reverted it the first time. The building's still there, and is being restored and remodeled. Why the past tense? Ntsimp (talk) 21:43, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
- I think I understand the sentiment behind this, even though I'm not sure that I agree with it. The rebuilt structure will not regain the function of a Tabernacle (LDS Church); instead it will be a Temple (LDS Church), and those two types of buildings serve very different purposes in the LDS community. Additionally, while the facade will be retained, the structure is going to go thru a form of facadism, where an entirely new building is to be built within what remains of the old one, essentially keeping the original external shell for historic, aesthetic and decorative purposes. -- 208.81.184.4 (talk) 22:18, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- The building is not a functioning tabernacle. Anyway, having a roofless, part wall of a building there does not really equal "the building is still there". It burned down, it is no more.John Pack Lambert (talk) 04:08, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
square footage
[edit]Does anyone have any good information on the square footage prior to burning? In the article it mentions that it is being converted much like the vernal tabernacle was and the vernal page lists the square footage of the new temple as well as the lot size. This article lists the Lot size, which is smaller than vernal, and I was curious to see how that translated to square footage of the actual building.--Drewder (talk) 19:24, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

"Not to be confused with..."
[edit]The wording of the template:Distinguish2 template used at the top seems weird. Would anyone object to changing it to something like "For the renovated structure..." or some similar wording using template:For? kcowolf (talk) 19:20, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
- I went ahead and changed it. Ntsimp (talk) 21:06, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
