Elections are run by the Independent Electoral Commission, and are held every five years, simultaneously with the elections to the National Assembly. Elections have been held in 1994, 1999, 2004 and 2009.

The above assertion seems incorrect to me, because neither the electoral act nor the constitution states that the provincial and national assembly elections must be held simultaneously.
