Football?
[edit]I'm pretty sure the 1941 date for college football is inaccurate. I was a student teacher with a 1970s graduate of PC who was on one of the last intercollegiate teams they had. Not to mention, the yearbooks up to that point also had football in them (I was editor of the yearbook for 1998). I don't remember the actual date, but i know it's in the 1970s. At that point, as I remember, the football team played D-III level teams, like Assumption, Seton Hall, etc. If anyone knows, fix this please! ToddC4176 (talk) 16:58, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

- "With the coming of the Second World War the college suspended its football program in favor of devoting the school's energies to the war effort. It wasn't until 1961 that football was seen again on the Providence College campus, only this time as a college club sport." Pats1 T/C 17:39, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
