Are Protestants Copts?

Why are Egyptian Protestants listed here as Copts? The Copts are generally understood to be adherents of the Coptic Orthodox or Coptic Catholic churches. If an Egyptian Muslim converts to Presbyterianism, they do not become a Copt, religiously, culturally or linguistically. They become an Egyptian Protestant. Can we have a source for the use of the word "Copt" to describe Egyptian Protestants? Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 02:03, 1 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
