The result of the move request was: moved to Protect Cemeteries Act. (closed by non-admin page mover) — Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 20:48, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
To amend the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998 to include the desecration of cemeteries among the many forms of violations of the right to religious freedom → H.R. 4028 – If you look at any other bill, the long name isn't usually the title name, A rename would be good since it would make more sense and would make it easier to find this topic. Searching up To amend the, comes up with redirects that redirect to the bills named H.R.`~HelpingWorld~` (👽🛸) 20:30, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
- Support The current title is accurate but also 27 words long.
HR 4028works just as well with this as a redirect. TartarTorte21:04, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
- Update to continue supporting move, but supporting move to Protect Cemeteries Act per 59.149. TartarTorte 13:43, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Support. The current title is ridiculously long. JIP | Talk 21:19, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
- Move to HR 4028 per TartarTorte and MOS:ACRO. Graham (talk) 22:41, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
- I'm also inclined to support a move to Protect Cemeteries Act per 59.149.117.119. Graham (talk) 23:32, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- Move to Protect Cemeteries Act per WP:COMMONNAME and WP:RECOGNIZABLE. Per WP:OFFICIALNAME, we don't need to use either the enrolled title or the bill number as the Wikipedia article title, as long as we explain clearly in the article that Wikipedia's title is a nickname rather than an official short title. This is how the sponsor usually referred to her bill [1][2], and most of the news coverage I can find seems to have followed suit [3][4][5][6]. In contrast, none of the Google news hits [7], and only a few of the Google Books hits[8] for H.R. 4028 are about this bill; mostly they're about bills in other sessions of Congress with the same number. 59.149.117.119 (talk) 06:22, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
