This article tends to simply replicate the Prostitution in New Zealand page - it should be redone so that it is strictly an account of a legislative act. In that sense it is supposed to amplify the main page Michael Goodyear (talk) 15:06, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
NPOV
[edit]The bulk of this brief article seems to simply be about attacking this legislation from a prostitution abolitionist position, and based on arguable claims. As such, there are huge problems with it from both and NPOV and factual accuracy standpoint.
It is also unclear whether this article should stand alone at all, or simply be merged into Prostitution in New Zealand. Iamcuriousblue (talk) 13:57, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
Accuracy
[edit]The article is so brief it cannot be said that the bulk of it is attaching the legislation.

- (c) is conducive to public health:
- (d) prohibits the use in prostitution of persons under 18 years of age:
- (e) implements certain other related reforms.
- The purpose of this Act is to decriminalise prostitution (while not endorsing or morally sanctioning prostitution or its use) and to create a framework that—
- That ties in pretty closely to the lead of the article, so is therefore accurate. Additionally, there are many sources that quote the act as decriminalizing prostitution in NZ. --John B123 (talk) 17:39, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
- I have added the above quote to the article and adding refs to show "decriminalizing" is the widely accepted term used in relation to the act. --John B123 (talk) 18:17, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
