Etymology
[edit]I am wondering if anyone might add an explanation of the name of the muscle (particularly the "teres" part) to the article introduction. Knowing the origin of a name always helps with remembering it. 2Plus2Is4 (talk) 23:59, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
- Please look at the recent change. Is the Etymology-section good enough? ...and please check for misspellings since I spell worse in English than Latin. For all practical purposes teres means "cylindrical". Thank you for your input. --JakobSteenberg (talk) 11:11, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
Nerve supply
[edit]I am wondering why the detailed description of the flow of information from the precentral gyrus to the forearm; isn't 'median nerve' enough? Only asking by comparison to the other anterior compartment muscles (which lack this level of detail in their corresponding pages) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.236.205.209 (talk) 06:36, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
"Attachment" vs "origin"
[edit]I was taught that "attachment" refers to either of "origin" and "insertion". Is this an incorrect distinction? I have edited the article introduction so that it refers to the two proximal "origins" (as opposed to "attachments") and one distal "insertion".
