Current usage, indications and problems
[edit]Please contribute to this article if you can. It seems to be very difficult to find reliable information about promazine. It is an older pharmaceutical which has been largely superseded by newer ones. As far as I know, one reason for the decline of its "popularity" was the number of accidental deaths when used concurrently with alcohol. However, it still has off-label uses, at least as a non-addictive sleeping aid in very small doses (compared to the dosage used for the treatment of schizophrenia). Comparison of effects, metabolism, side-effects etc. with other neuroleptics would be very welcome. Jedku (talk) 13:30, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
atropine not an alpha-2 agonist
[edit]Does it mean to say anticholinergic, or did it mean to list an alpha-2 agonist instead? Dalamajama (talk) 21:53, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
