[edit]

I've removed a speedy deletion notice from the page.

Firstly, the subject is clearly notable, the plan is written about, and described in some detail, across multiple WP:RS.

Secondly, the central thrust of the proposal is literally in the second paragraph: "The plan would divert £250 million to support Football League clubs, and reduce the size of the Premier League to 18 teams." and its possible effects are described below, with multiple sources. -- The Anome (talk) 19:32, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There was never a speedy deletion notice on the page, there was a proposed deletion notice. Also, until the plan is actually enacted, how is it at all notable enough for its own article? If this is never implemented, it literally becomes a footnote in history. If it goes on to be a massive turning point in the history of football, then of course it makes sense to create an article, but right now it is nothing more than a proposal. – PeeJay 15:15, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And yes, I know what the proposal entails on the face of it, but we don't know anything about how it would affect clubs at all levels of the game in the long term. It's a bit ridiculous to claim that the £250m investment and reduction in size of the Premier League would be the be-all-and-end-all of the effects this proposal will have. – PeeJay 15:17, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
